Dear Blog,
My job didn't use to be so anxiety-inducing.
I used to enjoy coming into the office.
I have a brilliant view of the river from my table now, been blessed with nice colleagues (well, at least in comparison to other groups who raise their voices at each other at almost a daily basis!), I am comfortable.
Call it laziness? Procrastination? ADHD?
I just don't enjoy doing things I'm not very familiar with, such as writing up a massive $250,000 (of professional fees) proposal which has always been the job for a more senior staff who actually knows what needs to go into the work.
I don't like getting agro emails and phone calls from the client who is halfway around the world, threatening me with the whole shutdown of the process plant if I don't provide them with a quick-fix band-aid solution. All this while they still owe us money from September last year!
You know it's time to let go when you are close to tears now in anxiety thinking about going to work everyday.
Yes I think it's time.
